The biblical qualifications for leadership put character first.  

This is because church leaders need to lead others by example,

pointing to Christ by the way we live.  

The role is to equip believers for ministry. The mode is servanthood. 

  • Lucas O'Neill

    Senior Pastor

    Lucas received his BA in Bible-Theology from Moody Bible Institute as well as his MDiv and ThM from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School where he also serves as a Professor of Homiletics. His doctoral work (DMin, Gordon-Conwell) focused on the task of preaching and works to help other pastors preach faithfully. While the church is supportive of his work outside of the church, his primary passion is teaching and leading the congregation at CFC to grow in Christ. His first ministry is his wife Tina and their four children. The O’Neill’s have been at CFC since 2007. 

  • Andy Ortloff

    Elder

    Andy graduated from Northern Illinois University and works in IT as a software engineer. His father pastored CFC for over 30 years giving Andy a unique perspective on church life and ministry. He has served in various roles including Growth Group leader, mentor, Tech Team and currently oversees CFC's finances. His wife Christine serves on the Welcome and Hospitality Teams. Together they raise their three children in Elk Grove Village.

  • Erin Grogan

    Elder

    Erin has had an exciting career as an entrepreneur, owning and running several successful businesses. He is currently president of a commercial print and direct mail, and packaging business in Mount Prospect. Erin serves CFC in multiple ways. He oversees the welcome team, helps lead Growth Groups, mentors and disciples men within the church, and fills in preaching as needed. His wife Beth co-leads the fellowship committee, helps with the women’s ministry and is the team lead of the welcome team.   They have 3 wonderful children, who range in age from high school to college.

  • Bill Warneke

    Deacon

    Bill has been an industrial maintenance mechanic since the late 70s starting in automotive and then switching to packaging and manufacturing equipment. He and his wife Valerie live in Wood Dale and they both serve on CFC's Mercy Ministry Team and are active in personal discipleship. Bill considers it an honor to serve the Lord by helping to meet different needs of the congregation at CFC.

  • Winder Sinarahua

    Deacon

    Winder was born in Peru as the fourth child of seven siblings to a 2nd generation Japanese father and Brazilian mother. Winder received his diploma as an Industrial Electrician from a tech school in Peru before migrating to the US. Winder has been serving the Lord since his conversion in 1986. Besides his career as a Maintenance Manager, Winder serves CFC in various ways, from the worship team to property management.

  • Gert Geyser

    DEACON

    Gert was born in South Africa and currently resides in Glen Ellyn. He came to the USA in 1997 with his wife, son, and daughter, and became a US citizen in 2005. Since graduating with an engineering degree and MBA, Gert has spent most of his working life as a management consultant. He started his career as an engineer in a steel plan and for a short period managed a US-based plant in South Africa. Gert became a member of our church in 2019 after his wife passed away in January 2019. He has served our church in various capacities through CFC Kids and as a Growth Group Leader.

  • Ben Moser

    Director of Worship and Youth Ministries

    Ben grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and moved to the Chicagoland area to attend Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL, where he graduated with a degree in Music and Bible and Theology. While at Wheaton he also met his wife, Anna, and they now live in Elk Grove Village, where she works as a mechanical engineer. Ben serves full time at CFC, leading the worship, youth, and hospitality ministries.
