  • We sing in obedience to God's Word Psalm 96:1
  • We sing to proclaim the Gospel Psalm 92:2-6
  • We sing to give glory to God Psalm 96:7-13

Preaching

The preached Word anchors our worship and forms us in Christlikeness.

  • It is commanded by God 1 Timothy 4:13
  • It explains what Scripture means Nehemiah 8:8
  • God's preached Word has authority Matthew 7:29
  • People need to hear the Gospel Romans 10:14
  • It helps us apply the Word to life James 1:22
  • God's Word leads us into sanctification John 17:17
  • It builds believers toward maturity Colossians 1:28

Communion

At the Lord's Table we remember Christ, proclaim His death, and examine ourselves.

  • We observe communion because the Lord commanded us.
  • We remember Christ and His substitutionary death for our sins.
  • We proclaim Christ's death and anticipate His return.
  • We examine ourselves so we do not partake in an unworthy manner.

Confession and Assurance

We confess honestly before God and receive gospel assurance in Christ.

  • We confess our sins before a holy God and acknowledge our need for forgiveness.
  • We are assured of forgiveness and redemption in Christ Jesus.
  • We remember Christ bore our sins and took the wrath we deserved.

Offering

Our giving is an act of worship and joyful participation in God's mission.

  • Give cheerfully. 2 Corinthians 9:6
  • First-time guests and non-Christians are not expected to give.
  • Offering envelopes are in the seat pocket in front of you.
